Trust Builds Quiet Elevation
When Capacity Says No,Small steps still count, Visionary.

Visionary,
I am so glad to be pausing and writing to you right now.
Not because this week was smooth. Not because I had a perfect content calendar, a tidy plan, or one of those shiny “look how much I achieved” kind of weeks.
Nope.
This week was short because capacity said no.
Actually, my body said, “If you don’t lie down…”
And when the body speaks like that, we have choices. We can argue with it, push through it, perform productivity for people who are not even watching, or we can listen before the whisper becomes a wall.
For me, it came in the form of a three-day migraine that started at the base of my neck and travelled all the way up and over my eyes. The kind that makes light rude, sound offensive, and basic movement feel like an Olympic event.
So I became an Uber school run princess.
And honestly, sometimes that is the reset. Not the pretty journal spread. Not the perfect Sunday routine. Just the moment you stop pretending your body is a machine and start responding to it like something precious.
But even in a low-capacity week, there were wins.
Custom GPT Connoisseur
As you may have read last week, I have been working on my digital home. Not just a website. A full-stack application with headless commerce, a backend office, a database, a store, systems, forms, and all the moving pieces that make my brain both light up and threaten to leave the premises.
And let me just say, that is going to look beautiful on a CV one day if these doctors ever decide I can go back to work. Or if part-time software engineer roles finally become a real thing and not a mythical creature hiding in the corporate forest.
For now, it is already proof.
Proof for freelance clients.
Proof for my own confidence.
Proof that I still build.
Proof that my skill set did not disappear because my capacity changed.
Then one very early morning, while lying down trying to close my eyes, a thought hit me.
Custom GPTs can use APIs.
And how does my website talk to my database and backend office?
Through an API.
The same API I had already been building out from the beginning.
So, long story short, I connected a custom GPT to my backend office for the first time ever. I used actions, the button that sits at the bottom of the configure page, the one people click and the exit stage left real quick. Yes I finally figured it out!
If custom GPT creation had levels, I did not just level up. I Willy Wonka elevator’ed straight through the ceiling.
And yes, I am absolutely counting that as a win.
Because sometimes trust in yourself does not arrive as a dramatic breakthrough. Sometimes it sounds like, “Wait a minute, I already built the thing that makes this possible.”
Indigo AI on Skool is where I document my tech wins and experiments first, and its free to join.
Capacity led wins
That was the theme of the week, really.
I did not have the capacity for heavy lifting, so I moved through my task list with the low-effort filter on. Not lazy. Not less than. Just honest.
That filter led me to perfect the copy on my About pages, update my Google Business profile, fix the contact form on my website, and clear out my Beacons store.
And Visionary, when I tell you my Beacons store has never looked this clean in its entire existence.
I wish I had archived the before pages just for the transformation footage.
The plan is that by the end of June, Beacons will come out of all my social bios and be replaced with my own digital home website. That was always the plan, eventually. Because honestly, a software engineer sending people to Beacons never sat fully right with my spirit.
But it was a 2027 plan.
Apparently, the mindset work I have been doing has accelerated the timeline.
Catching up with my worth.
Catching up with my skill set.
Catching up with the version of me who already knows I am capable, even when my nervous system needs a receipt.
This week gave me that receipt.
Not only did I prove I can still build, I may have unlocked a new service too.
More on that soon.
Outside of that, this was very much an inside week. Not just because it rained every single day, although it definitely did. But because recovery from socialising is real.
I have been outside two weekends in a row, and now I need a minimum of two weeks indoors to recalibrate. I have not even attended as many live meetings this week, because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop making yourself available to everything.
If you want support planning for your capacity, Visionary in Progress community on Skool is waiting to help you.
The elephant in the blog post
So why was I so happy to pause and write this newsletter?
Because before I sat down to write, I had been deep in the land of product updates.
I started replacing and updating the deliverables for every product in my store. One by one. New PDFs.
Sounds simple enough, right?
Except, me being me, I am also creating new listing covers because Meshia Nicole is clearly a creative influence menace in the best way. I am creating a spreadsheet in case I move products from Shopify in the future. And because I can use that same spreadsheet to set up an automatic content generator.
As I said, me being me.
At the time of writing this, I am about a quarter of the way through.
And let me be honest, this is where my AuDHD started showing up with a microphone.
A neurotypical mind may just work through the list. Someone who only has autism may even enjoy the repetition and structure. But me? My ADHD has been screaming for dear life.
At one point, I genuinely contemplated putting everything in a Google Drive, calling it a legacy bundle, and restarting with a clean slate.
I laughed, but I was serious for at least three business minutes.
I am still going to push through.
Will it all be done by next week?
I give absolutely zero promises.
This is definitely one of those jobs that future me will be paying someone else to do. Not because I cannot do it, but because just because you can do something does not mean you should be the one doing it forever.
That lesson is becoming louder.
The lessons of the week
This week reminded me that trust in self is not always loud. It is not always glamorous. It is not always a big launch, a public win, or a clean finish line.
Sometimes trust in self is choosing the low-effort task and letting it count.
Sometimes it is lying down before your body has to force you down.
Sometimes it is looking at something you built and realising, “Oh. I can connect this to that.”
Sometimes it is cleaning up what already exists instead of chasing something new.
Sometimes it is accepting that small tasks still stack.
They still compound.
They still create movement.
Visionary, if this week has been slower than you wanted, I hope you remember this:
Elevation does not only happen when you are moving fast.
Sometimes elevation is quiet.
Sometimes it is internal.
Sometimes it looks like one fixed form, one cleaner page, one better sentence, one clearer decision, one brave little proof that you are still becoming.
And let me tell you something.
Elevation looks amazing on you.
Community reminder
If you are also in a season of building your digital home, cleaning up your offers, trusting your skill set, or finding your way back to your own proof, stay close.
More updates are coming this month as I continue preparing the EPIC AI Agency digital home, Pixi’s Burrow, and the wider Visionary ecosystem. This is the season of replacing scattered links with rooted systems.
Not perfect systems.
Not pressure systems.
Rooted ones.
The kind that can hold who we are becoming.
If you have yet to sign the guestbook at Pixi’s Burrow, you still have time to gain your founders badge.
Journal prompt
Where have I been underestimating the small tasks that are quietly helping me rise?
Muse

Prompt:
A peaceful soft life scene featuring a Black woman in a cozy, beautifully styled home sanctuary, wrapped in comfort and calm. She is seated in a plush chair near a large window with gentle morning light pouring in, surrounded by soft blankets, candles, a journal, herbal tea, skincare items, fresh flowers, and subtle wellness details. The space feels warm, elegant, and restorative, with soft neutral tones, touches of amber and copper, natural textures, and a quiet luxury atmosphere. The mood is restful, feminine, healing, and intentional, capturing the essence of self-care, emotional reset, and choosing peace. Editorial lifestyle aesthetic, dreamy lighting, serene composition, high detail, soothing and aspirational.

I hope you are feeling much better. I've started listening to my body more and taking the rest when I need it. Everything can wait.
